A servant [of Allah's] committed a sin and said: O Allah, forgive me my sin. And He (glorified and exalted be He) said: My servant has committed a sin and has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for them. Then he sinned again and said: O Lord, forgive me my sin. And He (glorified and exalted be He) said: My servant has committed a sin and has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for them. Then he sinned again and said: O Lord, forgive me my sin. And He (glorified and exalted be He) said: My servant has committed a sin and has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for sins.
Do what you wish, for I have forgiven you.
Hadith Qudsi Hadith Qudsi 34
O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind.
O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you.
O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it.
Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 2357Narrated byAbdullah ibn Mas'ud
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "He who repents of a sin is like him who has committed no sin."
Ibn Majah and Bayhaqi, in Shu'ab al-Iman, transmitted it, the latter saying its only transmitter was an-Nahrani who is unknown.
Sahih Muslim HadithHadith 6622Narrated byAbuHurayrah
Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them.
*** How could any criminal fail to subscribe to such a
'forgiving Cult Belief System' ? ***
Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 1558Narrated byAbuMusa
The Prophet (peace be upon him and grant him) as saying, "No affliction great or small afflicts a man but for a sin, but there are more which Allah forgives." Then he recited, "Whatever misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have done; but He forgives much."
Tirmidhi transmitted it.
Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 5052Narrated byBuraydah ibn al-Hasib
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If anyone says in the morning or in the evening: "O Allah! Thou art my Lord; there is no god but Thee, Thou hast created me, and I am Thy servant and hold to Thy covenant and promise as much as I can; I seek refuge in Thee from the evil of what I have done: I acknowledge Thy favour to me, and I acknowledge my sin; pardon me, for none but Thee pardons sins, and dies during the daytime or during the night." he will go to Paradise.
Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 2.33Narrated bySalman Al Farsi
Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) said, "Anyone who takes a bath on Friday and cleans himself as much as he can and puts oil (on his hair) or scents himself; and then proceeds for the prayer and does not force his way between two persons (assembled in the mosque for the Friday prayer), and prays as much as is written for him and remains quiet when the Imam delivers the Khutba, all his sins in between the present and the last Friday will be forgiven."
*** In the Judeo-Christian traditions, ONLY God, decides who goes to Paradise or to Hell.
In Muhammadan Islam, it is Muhammad who pre emptively makes this determination ***
Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 9.579Narrated byAbu Dharr
The Prophet said, Gabriel came to me and gave me the glad tidings that anyone who died without worshipping anything besides Allah, would enter Paradise. I asked (Gabriel), "Even if he committed theft, and even if he committed illegal sexual intercourse?" He said, )Yes), even if he committed theft, and even if he committed illegal sexual intercourse."
*** With so much forgiveness of sin, wherefore is the punishment ?
It is therefore not a great wonder that people would follow such a very lax and lessez fair 'theological' construct ***
