Ishmael/Ismail in the Quran:-

According to alleged, UNSUBSTANTIATED and totally FABRICATED Arab 'traditions' and contrary to the original stories from the Biblical records, Ishmael is their 'father' just as Isaac was the 'father' of the Israelites.

From this very outset, let the reader be aware that the above so called 'traditions' did not exist in the mind of the Pagan Arabians prior to their 'revelation' in Muhammad's Quran.

In this chapter, I shall show the readers the TWO versions of the story of Ishmael, that of the ORIGINAL in the Bible and that of the Quran for them to compare and contrast.

According to the Bible, Abraham was of the Hebrew (Ibri) tribe.

Gen 14:"13. And there came one who had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he lived in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshkol, and brother of Aner; and these were confederate with Abram"

The Hebrews were one among hundreds of Semitic tribes that lived in the land of what is now called Iraq.

Abraham, the Hebrew, was ordered by God to leave the land of his nativity and go to another that, He, God, would direct him to. This other land was the land of Canaan
Gen 12:1/5.

If historians are correct in surmising that the Semitic tribes of Iraq & Syria originated from Arabia, then the Hebrews were one of these tribes. If this were the case, then Abraham and Ishmael cannot ALSO be the progenitors of the Arabs from whom they originated.

According to the FALSIFIED and UNSUBSTANTIATED Arab 'traditions', Abraham journied with the 'BABY' Ishmael and his mother (Hagar) to the valley of Mecca and together later on raised the Foundations of the Ka'ba.

2: 125 Remember We made the house a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma`il that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round or use it as a retreat or bow or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).

126        And remember Abraham said: "My Lord make this a City of Peace and feed its people with fruits such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day."  He said: "(Yea) and such as reject faith for a while will I grant them their pleasure but will soon drive them to the torment of fire an evil destination (indeed)!"

127        And remember Abraham and Isma`il raised the foundations of the House (with this prayer): "Our Lord! accept (this service) from us for thou art the All-Hearing the All-Knowing

128        "Our Lord! make of us Muslims bowing to Thy (Will) and of our progeny a people Muslim bowing to Thy (Will) and show us our places for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in mercy); for Thou art the Oft-Returning Most-Merciful.

       # The Ka'ba, the House of Allah.  Its foundation goes back by Arab tradition to Abraham.  Its fourfold character is here referred to. (1) It was the centre to which all the Arab tribes resorted for trade, for poetic contests, and for worship, (2) It was sacred territory and was respected by friend and foe alike. At certain seasons, all fighting was and is forbidden within it limits, and even arms are not allowed to be carried and no game or other thing is allowed to be killed.  Like the Cities of Refuge under the Mosaic Dispensation to which manslayers could flee (Num. xxxv. 6) or the Sanctuaries in Mediaeval Europe, to which criminals could not be pursued.  Mecca was recognized by Arab custom as inviolable for the pursuit of revenge or violence.  (3) It was a place of prayer; even today there is a Station of Abraham within the enclosure where Abraham was supposed to have prayed.  (4) It must be held pure and sacred for all
purposes #

*** The falsification of history, the contortion of facts and reality are the FORTE of most of the so called 'scholars of Islam'; Abdullah Yusuf Ali is no exception. He knows full well that there exists no such 'Arab tradition' anywhere in either the pagan Arabian records nor in the Oral traditions of these Arabs to substantiate his allegations.

The 'facts' reside within the Quran which asserts in several verses that neither Muhammad nor the Pagan Arabs had any KNOWLEDGE of the PREVIOUS REVELATIONS.

The Quranic word Ummi is deliberately mis-interpreted as "Illiterate" by the Sunni (Orthodox) Muhammadans. Critical scholars (Tabari in his Tafsir) point out that this curious adjective is invariably used in the Quran in contradistinction and/or in apposition to the People of the Book/ Ahl al Kitab as in (S2:78; 3:20,75; 7:157; 62:2) and should therefore be taken to mean one IGNORANT of Holy Scriptures and/or the EARLIER REVEALED RELIGIONS; that is, unscriptured.

36: 6        In order that thou mayest admonish a people whose fathers had received no admonition and who therefore remain heedless (of the Signs of Allah).

#3946        The Quraish had received no Prophet before, and therefore one of themselves was made the vehicle for the universal Message to the whole world#

They were ignorant of previous revelations

42:52         And thus have We by Our command sent inspiration to thee: thou knowest not (before) what was Revelation and what was Faith; but We have made the (Qur'an) a Light wherewith We guide such of Our servants as We will; and verily thou dost guide (men) to the Straight Way

62:2        It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered (Ummiyeena) an apostle from among themselves to rehearse to them His Signs to sanctify them and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom although they had been before in manifest error

Yet again and again does the Quran indicate that the pagan Arabs and Muhammad were ignorant of previous revlations prior to itself ***

The Quran continues its falsehood -

22: 26        Behold! We gave the site to Abraham of the (Sacred) House (saying): "Associate not any thing (in worship) with Me; and sanctify My House for those who compass it round or stand up or bow or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).

#The site of Makkah was granted to Abraham (and his son Ismail) for a place of worship that was to be pure (without idols, the worship being paid to Allah, the One True God) and universal, without being reserved (like Solomon's Temple of later times) to any one People or Race#

The following are IRREFUTABLE proofs, putting to rest FOREVER, all Muhammadan and Arab claims for ever having had any prior knowledge of Abraham, Ishmael or anything else in the BIBLE, BEFORE their 'revelation' by Muhammad in his Quran.

Gen 16: "8. And he said, Hagar, Sarai's maid, where did you come from? and where will you go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.9. And the angel of the Lord said to her, Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hands.10. And the angel of the Lord said to her, I will multiply your seed exceedingly, that it shall not be counted for multitude.11. And the angel of the Lord said to her, Behold, you are with child, and shall bear a son, and shall call his nameYeshma-El; because the Lord has heard your affliction.12. And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall live in the presence of all his brothers"

As usual, Arab 'tradition' is not supported by the Bible - which is after all, the only original source of the story of Ishmael - or any other recorded and independent story. The version in the Quran is a perverted one copied from the Midrash (Ginsberg's Legends of the Jews) in the 'Akedah'.

Muhammad - presumably with the connivance of the angel Gabriel - was very busy plagiarising and perverting at will, from the Bible and Hebrew Scriptures whatever suited his agenda.

The facts remain that not once, is there any reference in the Quran
- whether implicit or explicit - for any relationship between Abraham, Ishmael and the Arabs. The only assertion made in the Quran is that they were the 'Fathers' of Monotheism/Islam.

More over, Arab 'tradition' has it also that Hagar (never once mentioned in the Quran), Ishmael and Abraham travelled all the way to Mecca while Ishmael was still a SUCKLING BABY contrary to the historical fact that he was a TEENAGER of 14 years when he and his mother were told to leave Abraham's household somewhere near Beersheba and no where near Mecca almost 1000 km away.

In the Bible, God promised Abraham that both of his sons would sire twelve tribes each; that both would become great nations; but only Isaac would inherit the Promised Land as in the few following examples:

Genesis 17: "20. And as for Ishmael, I have heard you; Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he father, and I will make him a great nation.21. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time in the next year".

Also from Deuteronomy 1: 8" Behold, I have set the land before you; go in and possess the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them and to their seed after them"

As well as in Numbers 32: 11" Surely none of the men who came out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me"

the name of Ishmael is clearly and conpicuously missing and not included because he was not to inherit the blessing of the Promised Land.

Isaac was thus the true child of the promise.

One often finds in 'Muslim' writings a reference to the passage above in which Ishmael is yet promised a blessing, that he would multiply, and that he would become a great nation. Invariably, this promise is taken to be a hint of the coming of Muhammad and the greatness of 'Islam' but, in every case, the succeeding words, "but I will establish my covenant with Isaac", are subtly omitted
(Tabari, The Book of Religion and Empire, p. 78).

This qualifying clause shows plainly that Ishmael was only promised earthly blessings in this world as long as it shall last, but that God's eternal covenant would be fulfilled through Isaac. "No" , said God to Abraham when the latter pleaded for Ishmael.

It is well known that the long line of prophets referred to in the Quran were mostly descended from Isaac and not from Ishmael, and the reason is not far to seek, for Isaac, according to both Bible and Quran, was the 'Son of Promise', a 'Gift' from God.

Ishmael, on the other hand, as we learn from the Torah, was the son of the bond-maid Hagar and is, consequently, nowhere in the Quran spoken of as a 'Gift' from Allah.

The interpreters of the Quran falsely declare, that it was Ismail/ Ishmael and not Isaac who was offered as a sacrifice to Allah, upon the alleged authority of the angel Gabriel.

37: 100 "O my Lord! grant me a righteous (son)!"101 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 102 Then when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! do as thou art commanded: thou will find me if Allah so wills one practicing Patience and Constancy!" 103 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah) and He had laid Him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice) 104        We called out to him "O Abraham! 105 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" thus indeed do We reward those who do right 106 For this was obviously a trial 107 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice

First and foremost, the verse asserts that Abraham is telling his son that he saw a vision, which he thought it came from Allah.

No where in the Quran does it show any verse that says that it was Allah who told Abraham to sacrifice his son.

No where in the Quran does Allah say that he gave Abraham that dream.

No where in the Quran does it show that it was Gabriel who told Abraham to sacrifice his son.

Secondly, not once is the name of Ismail/Ishmael mentioned in all the above verses. If it were Ishmael, why not call his name and identify him?

Moreover, the above version, if it were Ishmael, is totally irreconcilable with the original story in the Torah (as given directly to Moses by the Almighty).

Genesis 22:" 1. And it came to pass after these things, that God tested Abraham, and said to him, Abraham; and he said, Behold, here I am.2. And He said, Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell you".

The Almighty made it crystal clear to Abraham by emphasising that his 'ONLY SON', Isaac, was the one from his  first wife Sarah and not from his concubine Hagar thus eliminating Ishmael from both the attempted sacrifice as well as from the blessing of inheriting the Promised Land.

We are here confronted by an extremely serious and MONUMENTAL dilemma; either the Bible is false or the Quran is. Both cannot be correct when they are giving CONTRADICTORY versions of the same events.

Since the Bible preceded the Quran by at least 2100 years, one has to believe that the angel Gabriel gave Muhammad a completely altered version of the Torah from what was given to Moses

                                                    'FACE TO  FACE'

by the Almighty and not passed down SECOND HAND and adulterated by any intermediary.

One has to assume that Gabriel deliberately changed God's Torah, which is inconceivable.

What is more plausible is that Satan, pretending to be the angel of Allah, recited to Muhammad the verses of the Quran. This would explain everything that is so strange about the stories narrated in the Quran that are of such enormous variation to the originals of the Bible.

It should be pointed out once again and very clearly that the name of Ishmael - as the one being sacrificed - is not explicitly mentioned in the Quranic verses but is only surmised. So, it seems that Gabriel deliberately misquoted God.

Since Muhammad and the Quran agree that the revelations to Moses were divine and that Gabriel was telling the truth, then according to Muhammadan theologians, it was the Jewish & Christian theologians who deliberately and falsely rewrote many portions of the Bible to deny the Arabs their rightful ancestry.

Presumably, they did so in anticipation of the arrival of Muhammad and his message and made an improbable pre-emptive propaganda strike at least 1000 years in advance.

All that the Muhammadans need to prove their otherwise false allegations, is to produce the 'Original' Torah and the 'Original' New Testament upon which they presumably base their preposterous allegations and mendacities.

It is  important to note that the Hebrews meticulously recorded the dates concerning their important fore fathers as regarding their names, dates of birth, longevity and when and where they died and were buried while there is not one single authenticated shred of evidence originating from Arabia to support their unsubstantiated claims.

There is absolutely nothing recorded by the pagan Arabs regarding any character in the Torah, and especially the most important ones as far as they are concerned: Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, Ishmael, Moses and so on.

So much for their alleged, but totally unfounded and imaginary 'traditions'. Arab claims were and are invariably based on wishful thinking supplemented ultimately by wholesale plagiarism and re-editing and or perverting of the Biblical and Hebrew scriptural narratives.

Moreover, the alleged 'traditions' of the Arabs do not explain what happened to Abraham and Ishmael after they had erected the foundations of the Ka'ba nor what Ishmael did between finding the well of Zam Zam near Mecca until he died.

They cannot explain how Abraham ended up being buried in Hebron and not in Mecca.

They are at a loss to explain the total absence of the names of their illustrious and paramount forefathers - or any other Biblical name for that matter - from among all the male names of Arabia before Muhammad and the Quran.

Most important of all, they cannot dismiss or talk themselves out of the repeated verses in the Quran that assert their total ignorance of previous revelations.

37:100 "O my Lord! grant me a righteous (son)!"101So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear.102        Then when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! do as thou art commanded: thou will find me if Allah so wills one practicing Patience and Constancy!"103        So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah) and He had laid Him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice)104        We called out to him "O Abraham! 105"Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" thus indeed do We reward those who do right.106 For this was obviously a trial".

The story as describd above is actually plagiarised and perverted from the Hebrew Midrash (Ginsburg's Legends of the Jews Vol.I, p: 277, the Akedah). As can also be seen, the name of Ishmael/Ismail is not mentioned in the verse above nor does it appear at all in the whole of Surah 37 of 182 verses.

The verse above concerns only Isaac, who after all, was a special blessing since he was conceived when Sarah was 90 years old and Abraham 100.

It is also very illuminating to point out that in the whole of Sura 21
[al Anbiyaa, (the Prophets)] of 112 verses, Ishmael's name is mentioned only once (21:85) among the prophets: Abraham, Lot, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Aaron, David & Solomon.

       Even more revealing is the fact that in the Quran, Isaac's name is mentioned 16 times (2:133,136,140; 11:71; 12:6,138; 14:39; 19:49; 21:72; 29:27; 37:112,113) while that of Ishmael only 8 times (2:140; 3:84; 4:163; 6:86; 14:39; 19:54; 21:85; 38:48).

Being the alleged forefather of the Arabs, his name should surely have been one of the most repeatedly mentioned.

In 29:27 "And We gave (Abraham) Isaac and Jacob and ordained among his progeny Prophethood and Revelation and We granted him his reward in this life; and he was in the Hereafter (of the company) of the Righteous" and in

38: 45" And commemorate Our servants Abraham Isaac and Jacob possessors of Power and Vision

In all these very important verses, Ishmael's name is CONSPICUOUSLY MISSING; he is not even considered a PROPHET.

In Genesis 25: "12. Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's maidservant, bore to Abraham;13. And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations; the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,14. And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,15. Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah;16. These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their encampments; twelve princes according to their nations.17. And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, a hundred and thirty seven years; and he expired and died; and was gathered to his people.18. And they lived from Havilah to Shur, that is before Egypt, as you go toward Assyria; and he fell in the presence of all his brothers"

First and foremost, the Bible is very clear that only Sarah was the legitimate wife of Abraham and that Hagar was his concubine/mistress, hence only Isaac was his true legitimate son.

Secondly, the total absence of Hagar's name in the Quran is a remarkable omission considering her importance in the mythology of the Arabs. It can obviously be seen  from the above, that Ishmael and his descendants occupied territiories between the Sinai and modern Iraq but no where near the Arabian Peninsula especially not near Mecca as the Arabs allege.

The most remarkable revelation as to the FATUITY and MENDACITY of their calims comes from the most 'Islamic' of all books, that of the first Biography of Muhammad by Ibn Ishaq that was translated by Alfred Guillaume in his masterpiece:
The Life of Muhammad. In the genealogical section of the book on page 3, the following is written:

"Ishmael is the son of Ibrahim (Abraham) b. Tarih (Azar) b. Nahur b. Sarugh b. Rau'u b. Falikh b. 'Ayar b. Shalikh b. Afrakhshadh b. Sam (Shem) b. Nuh (Noah).

On page 4, the following is written: 'Ad b. 'Aus b. Iram b. Nuh and Thamud and Jadis the two sons of 'Abir b. Iram b. Sam b. Nuh and Tsm and 'Imlaq and Umayan the sons of Ladwidh b. Sam b. Nuh" are all ARABS.

Hence this - according to the earliest 'Muslim' historians - demonstrates that the Arabs existed long before Ishmael was even born since according to this tradition, Ishmael's great-great-great-great-great uncles were already of the Arabs. In fact the Ahadith contain contradictory and unsupported geneaologies of Ishmael.

Moreover, in Bukhari Hadith 4:583, he asserts that Ishmael - assuming for a moment that he actually travelled to Arabia - LEARNED ARABIC from the tribe of Jurhum which means that his original language was not Arabic but HEBREW especially since his father was the Hebrew Abraham.

Hence the first language spoken at or near the Ka'ba, in Mecca, was HEBREW and not ARABIC.

Hence Allah communicated with Abraham and Ishmael in Hebrew and not in Arabic.

Ishmael was allegedly married to Arabian girls instead to an Egyptian wife as recorded in the Bible.

Hence we have here the most unbiased sources showing without a shadow of a doubt that the Arabs existed in the Peninsula much earlier and before the birth of Ishmael making the 'tradition' that he was their 'father' a total and absolute nonesense. In this particular hadith, although it mentions the alleged story of building the foundation of the Ka'ba, it completely missed telling the most important - but obviously unauthenticated-  story of the offer to sacrifice Ishmael. Further more, Ishmael is nowhere mentioned as the child of promise.

Since Ibn Ishaq was the nearest recorder of the stories about Muhammad, his sayings and his deeds, it stands much more to reason that he at least had the greatest chance to learn of them with the least distortions possible. There after, the Ahadith became much more corrupted, created, manipulated and imaginary than ever before.

To top all the previous explanations even more is the fact that not once in the whole Bible is there any reference to the "God of Ishmael" but almost invariably God's revelations were directed to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as seen in

Exodus 3: "6. And he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God"

Exodus 3:" 15. And God said moreover to Moses, Thus shall you say to the people of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you; this is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations"

There are of course many more verses such as : Exodus 3:16, 4:5,6:3,6:8, 32:13,33:1; Numbers 32:11; Deuteronomy 1:8, 6:10, 9:5; etc, etc. In none of them did the Almighty reveal Himself to Ishmael. This totally negates the claim by the followers of Muhammad that Ishmael, being the eldest son, had precedence over Isaac conveniently ignoring the Biblical records as well as the fact that in the Bible, almost invariably, it was the younger of the brood who was invariably preferred.

To confound all the above, Muhammadan Arabs declare that the Arabians are actually divided into three major groups:

1          Al Arab al Ba'ida:            Those who have disappeared

2        Al Arab al 'Ariba:             The indigenous Arabs

3        Al Arab al Musta'riba :  The Arabicised Arabs
from whom Muhammad is a descendant through Abraham, Ishmael and Adnan their alleged progenitors, are hence of the HEBREW bloodline.

Since it is an incontrovertible fact that the Arabs of the Hijaz were almost entirely illiterate, without writing and without a single shred of recorded evidence that they had any knowledge of their ancestral relationship to Abraham and Ishmael prior to the Quran, then it beggars belief and stretches credulity to beyond breaking point for them to insist that they had such prior knowledge all the time.

All the geneaologies that they mention were not in the Quran either implicitly or explicitly but were conveniently fabricated - over a period of several centuries through historical and theological revisionism- based entirely and unashamedly by plagiarising and perverting the Biblical and Scriptural records.

*** Any one who has ever read the Bible can tell that all the above verses are lies and false and have very little if any resemblance to the Biblical version.

To assume that the angel Gabriel and not SATAN was the one who 'revealed' these mendacities to Muhammad is both ILLOGICAL, IMMORAL and BLSPHEMOUS.

Moreover, there is no mention in the Torah of Allah, Arabia, Mecca, Ka'ba or Muhammad. There is also no record of either Abraham or of Ishmael ever visiting the Peninsula of the Arabs.

Furthermore, the Hadiths - based upon Muhammad's say so - deceive the readers by asserting that Ishmael was a 'baby' when he and his mother were dismissed from Abraham's household especially when the Bible asserts that he was over 14 years old.

There are many more discrepencies between the Quranic and the Biblical versions of the same event in this particular case as well as in EVERY other case.

The lack of veracity in the Quran is ASTOUNDING, UNAMBIGUOUS and utterly UNHOLY, not befitting any DIVINE REVELATION ***

The Hadiths continue the lies and myths-

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 1.140        Narrated byKuraib
Ibn 'Abbas said, "The Prophet slept till he snored and then prayed (or probably lay till his breath sounds were heard and then got up and prayed)." Ibn 'Abbas added: "I stayed overnight in the house of my aunt, Maimuna, the Prophet slept for a part of the night, (See Fath-al-Bari page 249, Vol. 1), and late in the night, he got up and performed ablution from a hanging water skin, a light (perfect) ablution and stood up for the prayer. I, too, performed a similar ablution, then I went and stood on his left. He drew me to his right and prayed as much as Allah wished, and again lay and slept till his breath sounds were heard. Later on the Mua'dhdhin (call maker for the prayer) came to him and informed him that it was time for prayer. The Prophet went with him for the prayer without performing a new ablution." (Sufyan said to 'Amr that some people said, "The eyes of Allah's Apostle sleep but his heart does not sleep." 'Amr replied, "I heard 'Ubaid bin 'Umar saying that the dreams of Prophets were Divine Inspiration, and then he recited the verse: 'I (Abraham) see in a dream, (O my son) that I offer you in sacrifice (to Allah).' " (37.102) (See Hadith No. 183)

*** If Ishmael was the elect of Allah instead of Isaac, why were ALL the prophets of the Bible from Isaac's seed and none from Ishmael's? ***

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 4.583        Narrated byIbn Abbas
The first lady to use a girdle was the mother of Ishmael.  She used a girdle so that she might hide her tracks from Sarah. Abraham brought her and her son Ishmael while she was suckling him, to a place near the Ka'ba under a tree on the spot of Zam-zam, at the highest place in the mosque. During those days there was nobody in Mecca, nor was there any water. So he made them sit over there and placed near them a leather bag containing some dates, and a small water-skin containing some water, and set out homeward. Ishmael's mother followed him saying, "O Abraham! Where are you going, leaving us in this valley where there is no person whose company we may enjoy, nor is there anything (to enjoy)?" She repeated that to him many times, but he did not look back at her. Then she asked him, "Has Allah ordered you to do so?" He said, "Yes." She said, "Then He will not neglect us," and returned while Abraham proceeded onwards, and on reaching the Thaniya where they could not see him, he faced the Ka'ba, and raising both hands, invoked Allah saying the following prayers:
"O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring dwell in a valley without cultivation, by Your Sacred House (Kaba at Mecca) in order, O our Lord, that they may offer prayer perfectly. So fill some hearts among men with love towards them, and (O Allah) provide them with fruits, so that they may give thanks."  (14.37) Ishmael's mother went on suckling Ishmael and drinking from the water (she had).

When the water in the water-skin had all been used up, she became thirsty and her child also became thirsty. She started looking at him (i.e. Ishmael) tossing in agony. She left him, for she could not endure looking at him, and found that the mountain of Safa was the nearest mountain to her on that land. She stood on it and started looking at the valley keenly so that she might see somebody, but she could not see anybody. Then she descended from Safa and when she reached the valley, she tucked up her robe and ran in the valley like a person in distress and trouble, till she crossed the valley and reached the Marwa mountain where she stood and started looking, expecting to see somebody, but she could not see anybody. She repeated that (running between Safa and Marwa) seven times.

The Prophet said, "This is the source of the tradition of the walking of people between them (i.e. Safa and Marwa). When she reached the Marwa (for the last time) she heard a voice and she asked herself to be quiet and listened attentively. She heard the voice again and said, 'O, (whoever you may be)! You have made me hear your voice; have you got something to help me?" And behold! She saw an angel at the place of Zam-zam, digging the earth with his heel (or his wing), till water flowed from that place. She started to make something like a basin around it, using her hand in this way, and started filling her water-skin with water with her hands, and the water was flowing out after she had scooped some of it."
The Prophet added, "May Allah bestow Mercy on Ishmael's mother! Had she let the Zam-zam (flow without trying to control it) (or had she not scooped from that water) (to fill her water-skin), Zam-zam would have been a stream flowing on the surface of the earth." The Prophet further added, "Then she drank (water) and suckled her child. The angel said to her, 'Don't be afraid of being neglected, for this is the House of Allah which will be built by this boy and his father, and Allah never neglects His people.' The House (i.e. Kaba) at that time was on a high place resembling a hillock, and when torrents came, they flowed to its right and left. She lived in that way till some people from the tribe of Jurhum or a family from Jurhum passed by her and her child, as they (i.e. the Jurhum people) were coming through the way of Kada'. They landed in the lower part of Mecca where they saw a bird that had the habit of flying around water and not leaving it. They said, 'This bird must be flying around water, though we know that there is no water in this valley.' They sent one or two messengers who discovered the source of water, and returned to inform them of the water. So, they all came (towards the water)." The Prophet added, "Ishmael's mother was sitting near the water. They asked her, 'Do you allow us to stay with you?' She replied, 'Yes, but you will have no right to possess the water.' They agreed to that." The Prophet further said, "Ishmael's mother was pleased with the whole situation as she used to love to enjoy the company of the people. So, they settled there, and later on they sent for their families who came and settled with them so that some families became permanent residents there. The child
(i.e. Ishmael) grew up and learnt Arabic from them and (his virtues) caused them to love and admire him as he grew up, and when he reached the age of puberty they made him marry a woman from amongst them.

*** Ishmael had to learn Arabic because his original language was obviously HEBREW ***

After Ishmael's mother had died, Abraham came after Ishmael's marriage in order to see his family that he had left before, but he did not find Ishmael there. When he asked Ishmael's wife about him, she replied, 'He has gone in search of our livelihood.' Then he asked her about their way of living and their condition, and she replied, 'We are living in misery; we are living in hardship and destitution,' complaining to him. He said, 'When your husband returns, convey my salutation to him and tell him to change the threshold of the gate (of his house).' When Ishmael came, he seemed to have felt something unusual, so he asked his wife, 'Has anyone visited you?' She replied, 'Yes, an old man of so-and-so description came and asked me about you and I informed him, and he asked about our state of living, and I told him that we were living in a hardship and poverty.' On that Ishmael said, 'Did he advise you anything?' She replied, 'Yes, he told me to convey his salutation to you and to tell you to change the threshold of your gate.' Ishmael said, 'It was my father, and he has ordered me to divorce you. Go back to your family.' So, Ishmael divorced her and married another woman from amongst them (i.e. Jurhum).

Then Abraham stayed away from them for a period as long as Allah wished and called on them again but did not find Ishmael. So he came to Ishmael's wife and asked her about Ishmael. She said, 'He has gone in search of our livelihood.' Abraham asked her, 'How are you getting on?' asking her about their sustenance and living. She replied, 'We are prosperous and well-off (i.e. we have everything in abundance).' Then she thanked Allah. Abraham said, 'What kind of food do you eat?' She said. 'Meat.' He said, 'What do you drink?' She said, 'Water." He said, "O Allah! Bless their meat and water." The Prophet  added, "At that time they did not have grain, and if they had grain, he would have also invoked Allah to bless it." The Prophet added, "If somebody has only these two things as his sustenance, his health and disposition will be badly affected, unless he lives in Mecca." The Prophet added," Then Abraham said Ishmael's wife, "When your husband comes, give my regards to him and tell him that he should keep firm the threshold of his gate.' When Ishmael came back, he asked his wife, 'Did anyone call on you?' She replied, 'Yes, a good-looking old man came to me,' so she praised him and added. 'He asked about you, and I informed him, and he asked about our livelihood and I told him that we were in a good condition.' Ishmael asked her, 'Did he give you any piece of advice?' She said, 'Yes, he told me to give his regards to you and ordered that you should keep firm the threshold of your gate.' On that Ishmael said, 'It was my father, and you are the threshold (of the gate). He has ordered me to keep you with me.'

Then Abraham stayed away from them for a period as long as Allah wished, and called on them afterwards. He saw Ishmael under a tree near Zam-zam, sharpening his arrows. When he saw Abraham, he rose up to welcome him (and they greeted each other as a father does with his son or a son does with his father). Abraham said, 'O Ishmael! Allah has given me an order.' Ishmael said, 'Do what your Lord has ordered you to do.' Abraham asked, 'Will you help me?' Ishmael said, 'I will help you.' Abraham said, Allah has ordered me to build a house here,' pointing to a hillock higher than the land surrounding it." The Prophet added, "Then they raised the foundations of the House (i.e. the Ka'ba). Ishmael brought the stones and Abraham was building, and when the walls became high, Ishmael brought this stone and put it for Abraham who stood over it and carried on building, while Ishmael was handing him the stones, and both of them were saying, 'O our Lord! Accept (this service) from us, Verily, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.' The Prophet added, "Then both of them went on building and going round the Ka'ba saying: O our Lord ! Accept (this service) from us, Verily, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."  (2.127)

*** Hence the foundations of the holiest place in Arab & Muhammadan Islam was built by HEBREWS and NOT ARABS ***

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 4.584        Narrated byIbn Abbas
When Abraham had differences with his wife), (because of her jealousy of Hajar, Ishmael's mother), he took Ishmael and his mother and went away. They had a water-skin with them containing some water, Ishmael's mother used to drink water from the water-skin so that her milk would increase for her child. When Abraham reached Mecca, he made her sit under a tree and afterwards returned home. Ishmael's mother followed him, and when they reached Kada', she called him from behind, "O Abraham! To whom are you leaving us?" He replied, "(I am leaving you) to Allah's (care)." She said, "I am satisfied to be with Allah." She returned to her place and started drinking water from the water-skin, and her milk increased for her child. When the water had all been used up, she said to herself, "I'd better go and look so that I may see somebody." She ascended the Safa mountain and looked, hoping to see somebody, but in vain.

When she came down to the valley, she ran till she reached the Marwa mountain. She ran to and fro (between the two mountains) many times. They she said to herself, "I'd better go and see the state of the child." She went and found it in a state of one on the point of dying. She could not endure to watch it dying and said (to herself), "If I go and look, I may find somebody." She went and ascended the Safa mountain and looked for a long while but could not find anybody. Thus she completed seven rounds (of running) between Safa and Marwa. Again she said (to herself), "I'd better go back and see the state of the child." But suddenly she heard a voice, and she said to that strange voice, "Help us if you can offer any help." Lo! It was Gabriel (who had made the voice).

Gabriel hit the earth with his heel like this (Ibn 'Abbas hit the earth with his heel to illustrate it), and so the water gushed out. Ishmael's mother was astonished and started digging. (Abu Al-Qasim) (i.e. the Prophet) said, "If she had left the water, (flow naturally without her intervention), it would have been flowing on the surface of the earth.") Ishmael's mother started drinking from the water and her milk increased for her child. Afterwards some people of the tribe of Jurhum, while passing through the bottom of the valley, saw some birds, and that astonished them, and they said, "Birds can only be found at a place where there is water." They sent a messenger who searched the place and found the water, and returned to inform them about it.

Then they all went to her and said, "O Ishmael's mother! Will you allow us to be with you (or dwell with you)?" (And thus they stayed there.) Later on her boy reached the age of puberty and married a lady from them. Then an idea occurred to Abraham which he disclosed to his wife (Sarah), "I want to call on my dependents I left (at Mecca)." When he went there, he greeted (Ishmael's wife) and said, "Where is Ishmael?" She replied, "He has gone out hunting." Abraham said (to her), "When he comes, tell him to change the threshold of his gate." When he came, she told him the same whereupon Ishmael said to her, "You are the threshold, so go to your family (i.e. you are divorced)."

Again Abraham thought of visiting his dependents whom he had left (at Mecca), and he told his wife (Sarah) of his intentions. Abraham came to Ishmael's house and asked. "Where is Ishmael?" Ishmael's wife replied, "He has gone out hunting," and added, "Will you stay (for some time) and have something to eat and drink?" Abraham asked, "What is your food and what is your drink?" She replied, "Our food is meat and our drink is water." He said, "O Allah! Bless their meals and their drink." Abu Al-Qa-sim (i.e. Prophet) said, "Because of Abraham's invocation there are blessings (in Mecca)." Once more Abraham thought of visiting his family he had left (at Mecca), so he told his wife (Sarah) of his decision. He went and found Ishmael behind the Zam-zam well, mending his arrows. He said, "O Ishmael, Your Lord has ordered me to build a house for Him." Ishmael said, "Obey (the order of) your Lord." Abraham said, "Allah has also ordered me that you should help me therein." Ishmael said, "Then I will do." So, both of them rose and Abraham started building (the Ka'ba) while Ishmael went on handing him the stones, and both of them were saying, "O our Lord! Accept (this service) from us, Verily, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing." (2.127)  When the building became high and the old man (i.e. Abraham) could no longer lift the stones (to such a high position), he stood over the stone of Al-Maqam and Ishmael carried on handing him the stones, and both of them were saying, -O our Lord! Accept (this service) from us, Verily You are All-Hearing, All-Knowing."  (2.127)

Conclusions

In fact, it is the Quran which asserts in verse after verse, that neither Muhammad nor his pagan Arabian followers had any KNOWLEDGE of PREVIOUS REVEALED BOOKS.

Further more, not a single ORAL or WRITTEN Arabian tradition either mentions or alludes to such knowledge; that is knowledge of any relationship between the Arabs, Abraham and Ishmael.

Even the GENEAOLOGICAL TREE(S) connecting the Arabs to Ishmael and Abraham were later inventions, manipulations and alterations made to those that existed in the Biblical original to give Muhammad and his followers a WORTHY LINEAGE going all the way to Adam of whom they had no knowledge either, until the Quran.

All the ANOMALIES, DISCREPENCIES, CONTRADICTIONS and INCONSISTENCIES in the Quran can be INSTANTLY explained when the researcher or reader of the Quran, Ahadith and the Bible comes to the only logical conclusion possible to clear away all the above:

That no Compassionate and Merciful Divinity could have ever 'revealed' the Quran which is full of HATEMONGERING, WARMONGERING, SLAUGHTER, TORTURE, DECEIT, PLUNDER, RAPE, DITORTION OF HISTORY as well as hundreds of CONTRADICTIONS of the BIBLICAL srories.

Hence every letter, every word, every verse/aya and every chapter/sura in the Quran emanated from the mind and mouth of Muhammad but conveniently and ingeniously projected into the mouth of the unsuspecting ALLAH, the pagan ROCK god of the Ka'ba, the BLACK STONE.

       The Quran is ENTIRELY Muhammad's
