Anas went to the Prophet with barley bread having some dissolved fat on it. The Prophet had mortgaged his armor to a Jewin Medina and took from him some barley for his family. Anas heard him saying, "The household of Muhammad did not possess even a single Sa of wheat or food grains for the evening meal, although he has nine wives to look after." (See Hadith No. 685)

*** It is very probable that when Muhammad first arrived to Madina, he was destitute and needed to mortgage his armor.
It is IMPOSSIBLE andtotally FALSE that he owed anything to any Jew when he DIED because he died a VERY WEALTHY man from all the KHUMS and FAY that he accumulated from BOOTY,PLUNDER, SALE of HOSTAGES,SLAVERY Etc.
The last stories were MANUFACTURED - like tens of thousands of others in the Hadiths- much later for purposes other than telling the TRUTH ***
