Quran vs Bible:-
The Quran asserts in several verses that the Torah and Gospels - previous Revelations - are the Words of Allah.
The Quran also asserts that the Torah is incorruptible and the original version is written on tablets with Allah.
The Quran further claims that it, itself, is also the uncorruptible Words of Allah. In fact, the Quran calls the previous revelations as well as itself by the same name: the Book.
The Quran never intimates or alleges or asserts that the previous Revelations have had their TEXTS altered, tampered with or corrupted.
The Quran only intimates - and the Hadiths corroborate this - that the People of the Book tended to ALTER the MEANING only, of some of the verses to suit their purposes.
But, the Quranic versions of events, characters, names, places and dates are almost totally at variance and incompatible with the same items in their original form in the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament.
It is blasphemous, illogical and irrational to imply that the Almighty created TWO different and contradictory TRUE versions of the same events, characters, places and dates.
The Hebrew Bible was written and documented hundreds of years before Muhammad and his Quran in several languages, in different countries, on different continents by different civilizations and cultures while the Quran is a very recent compilation of uncorroborated and unwritten versions of events.
One does not have to be a genius to conclude that either the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament were deliberately corrupted at least two thousand and six hundred years respectively BEFORE Muhammad and his Quran, or, that the Quran is the UNTRUE version of the previous Books and hence cannot have been or be the
Words of Allah.
2: 101 And when came to them an Apostle from Allah confirming what was with them a party of the people of the Book [kitaba] threw away the Book [kitaba] of Allah behind their backs as if (it had been something) they did not know!
2: 136 Say ye: "We believe in Allah and the revelation given to us and to Abraham Isma`il Isaac Jacob and the Tribes and that given to Moses and Jesus and that given to (all) Prophets from their Lord we make no difference between one and another of them and we bow to Allah (in Islam)."
*** The Quran again declares that the followers of Muhammad are to believe in all of the writings of the previous prophets, both of the Hebrew Bible and the New Tesatment.
Moreover, the interpreter has deliberately mistranslated the ending of the verse because the name of Allah is not mentioned. The ending should read: "…and we submit to Him in Islam"***
2: 146 The people of the Book [kitaba] know this as they know their own sons; but some of them conceal the truth which they themselves know.
2: 176 (Their doom is) because Allah sent down the Book [kitaba] in truth but those who seek causes of dispute in the Book are in a schism far (from the purpose).
3: 2 Allah! there is no god but He the Living the Self-Subsisting Eternal. 3 It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step) in truth the Book [kitaba] confirming what went before it; and He sent down Law (Of Moses) [Taurat] and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this as a guide to mankind and He sent down the Criterion (of judgment between right and wrong).
*** The Quran declares that Allah did not only send the Book to Moses but also the Gospels to Jesus. These two Books, together are stated to be a
"..guide to Mankind…" and are not corrupted.
Muhammad and his Quran are of course in manifest error when they assert that Allah sent the Gospels to Jesus since the Gospels were written AFTER Jesus had DIED and Allah had nothing whatsoever to do with 'revealing' them to him***
3: 71 Ye People of the Book [kitaba] , Why do ye clothe truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while ye have knowledge?
*** The implicaion is that the Torah is true but that its followers are perverting its meaning***
3: 75 Among the People of the Book are some who if entrusted with a hoard of gold will (readily) pay it back; others who if entrusted with a single silver coin will not repay it unless thou constantly stoodest demanding because they say "There is no call on us (to keep faith) with these ignorant (pagans)." But they tell a lie against Allah and (well) they know it
*** In this verse, the Quran condemns only SOME of the Jews who cheat.
Well, among the Muhammadans there are people who also cheat. That does not mean they are ALL guilty. Every people have good and bad amongst them. This is the way of all of humanity ***
3:78 There is among them a section who distort the Book with their tongues; (as they read) you would think it is a part of the Book but it is no part of the Book; and they say "That is from Allah" but it is not from Allah: it is they who tell a lie against Allah and (well) they know it!
*** First and foremost the Quran is asserting that the perversions of the Book are ORAL, related to the INTERPRETATION and not due to CHANGING the words by perverting and or editing the Written Text.
Also, the Quran is once more asserting that the MISREPRESENTATION was made by only SOME and not ALL of the Jews, which is the correct manner of addressing the issue, since not all Muhammadans are decent or practicing 'muslims' either ***
3: 113 Not all of them are alike: of the People of the book are a portion that stand (for the right); they rehearse the signs of Allah all night long and then prostrate themselves in adoration.
114 They believe in Allah and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong; and they (hasten in emulation) in (all) good works; they are in the ranks of the righteous.
115 Of the good that they do nothing will be rejected of them; for Allah knoweth well those that do right.
3: 184 Then if they reject thee so were rejected Apostles before thee who came with clear Signs Books of dark prophecies and the Book of enlightenment.
*** There was only ONE Book of enlightment at the time mentioned above, which was the Torah***
4: 131 To Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth. Verily We have directed the People of the Book before you and you (O Muslims) to fear Allah. But if ye deny Him lo! unto Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth and Allah is free of all wants worthy of all praise.
*** The followers of Muhammad were not the first Muslims, that is, believers in the One and Only God, because the Israelites and the early Christians preceded them by centuries.
The concept and definition of Islam should not be allowed to be arrogated by the followers of Muhammad only.
Any and all monotheists have exactly the same claim to the same title and without a shadow of a doubt All Jews are by their beliefs, MUSLIMS ***
5: 5 This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers but chaste women among the People of the Book revealed before your time when ye give them their due dowers and desire chastity not lewdness nor secret intrigues. If anyone rejects faith fruitless is his work and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).
5: 15 O People of the Book! there hath come to you Our Apostle revealing to you much that ye used to HIDE in the Book and passing over much (that is now unnecessary): There hath come to you from Allah a (new) Light and a perspicuous Book.
*** Once more the Quran is accusing the Jews and Christians of not telling the truth about their revelations without implying that the TEXTS themselves had been corrupted ***
5: 44 It was We who revealed [descended] the Law [Taurat] (to Moses); therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews by the Prophets who bowed (as in Islam ) to Allah's will by the Rabbis and the doctors of Law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's Book and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men but fear Me and sell not My Signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed they are (no better than) unbelievers
*** The Quran is telling its followers that the Jews were entrusted with protecting and preserving Allah' Book (the Torah), and there is absolutely no indication given here that they had failed their trust nor that the Bible itself is corrupted.
It condemns only those who misrepresent it. It is actually warning the followers of Muhammad that they will suffer the same punishment as those of the People of the Book who break their Law ***
5: 48 To thee We sent [descended] the Scripture [al kitaba] in truth confirming the scripture that came before it and [God] guarding it in safety; so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed and follow not their vain desires diverging from the truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have We prescribed a Law and an Open Way. If Allah had so willed He would have made you a single people but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute.
*** Allah declares that all previous revelations are guarded safely by Him and preserved from change and corruption.
So, how could the later verses of the Quran 'reveal' and assert that they were altered and corrupted by the Jews & Christians? ***
5: 68 Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law[Taurat] the Gospel and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord." It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith 69 Those who believe (in the Qur'an) those who follow the Jewish (Scriptures) and the Sabians and the Christians any who believe in Allah and the Last Day and work righteousness on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve.
*** The Quran is declaring that if the followers of Moses and of Jesus were to adhere to the rules and regulations of the Torah and the New Testament, they would have been Rightly Guided in Allah's will and would have been blessed in this life as well as being admitted to Paradise, just like the believing followers of Muhammad.
There are no differences between the revelations. They are all Allah's will.
What is beyond comprehension in this verse is the fact that Muhammad - the pure monotheist - declares that the pagan Sabians and the Trinitarian Christians are equal to the Muslims ***
6: 89 These were the men to whom We gave the Book and authority and prophethood:
if these (their descendants) reject them behold! We shall entrust their charge to a new People who reject them not
*** The accusation in this verse is for rejecting to follow up God's revelations and is definitely not the same as actually wantonly distorting and perverting their texts ***
6: 113 Not all of them are alike: of the People of the book are a portion that stand (for the right); they rehearse the signs of Allah all night long and then prostrate themselves in adoration. 114 They believe in Allah and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong; and they (hasten in emulation) in (all) good works; they are in the ranks of the righteous 115 Of the good that they do nothing will be rejected of them; for Allah knoweth well those that do right.
6: 154 Moreover We gave Moses the Book completing (Our favor) to those who would do right and explaining all things in detail and a guide and a mercy that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord.
*** The Quran declares that the Book of the Jews is from Allah, uncorrupted***
6: 155 And this is a Book which We have revealed as a blessing: so follow it and be righteous that ye may receive mercy:156 Lest ye should say: "The Book was sent down to two peoples before us and for our part we remained unacquainted with all that they learned by assiduous study." 157 Or lest ye should say: "If the Book had only been sent down to us we should have followed its guidance better than they." Now then hath come unto you a Clear (sign) from your Lord and a guide and a mercy: then who could do more wrong than one who rejecteth Allah's signs and turneth away therefrom? In good time shall We requite those who turn away from Our Signs with a dreadful penalty for their turning away.
*** In every verse of the Quran the same word 'the Book' is applied to the Torah, the Gospels and also the Quran. It does not differentiate between them at all since it is alleged that the Quran CONFIRMS the Previous Revelations.
Since the Quran CONFIRMS the Previous Revelations, then it cannot possibly be confirming the Books of Previous Revelations if their TEXTS had been ALTERED or TAMPERED with as alleged by the later followers of Muhammad who could not explain away the incredible differences between the Biblical and Quranic versions of the same events.
The Muhammadan exegetes - starting with al Shaf'I - had no choice but to attack the People of the Book's beliefs and their texts with unconscionable mendacity, so that he can show that only the Quranic version can remain the un- altered words of Allah***
7: 168 We broke them up into sections on this earth. There are among them some that are the righteous and some that are the opposite. We have tried them with both prosperity and adversity: in order that they might turn (to us).
169 After them succeeded an (evil) generation: they inherited the Book but they chose (for themselves) the vanities of this world saying (for excuse): "(everything) will be forgiven us." (Even so) if similar vanities came their way they would (again) seize them. Was not the covenant of the Book taken from them that they would not ascribe to Allah anything but the truth? And they study what is in the Book. But best for the righteous is the home in the hereafter: will ye not understand? 170 As to those who hold fast by the Book and establish regular prayer; never shall We suffer the reward of the righteous to perish.
11: 17 Can they be (like) those who accept a Clear (Sign) from their Lord and whom a witness from Himself doth teach as did the Book of Moses before it a guide and a mercy? They believe therein; but those of the Sects that reject it the Fire will be their promised meeting place. Be not then in doubt thereon: for it is the Truth from thy Lord: yet many among men do not believe!
13: 1 Alif Lam Mim Ra. These are the Signs (or Verses) of the Book: that which hath been revealed unto thee from thy Lord is the Truth; but most men believe not.
17: 2 We gave Moses the Book and made it a Guide to the Children of Israel (commanding): "Take not other than Me as Disposer of (your) affairs."
*** The Quran is declaring that Israel was commanded to follow the revelations of Allah contained in the Book of Moses, the TORAH ***
29:46 And dispute ye not with the People of the Book except with means better (than mere disputation) unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong (and injury): but say "We believe in the Revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam)."
32: 23 We did indeed aforetime give the Book to Moses: be not then in doubt of its reaching (thee): and We made it a guide to the Children of Israel. 24 And We appointed from among them Leaders giving guidance under Our command so long as they persevered with patience and continued to have faith in Our Signs.
*** The Quran declares that Israel was commanded to follow the revelation of Allah contained in the Book of Moses the contents of which will later inspire Muhammad and his followers.
There is not the slightest hint that the Quran, in any of its verses, intimates or makes the accusation that the Book (Bible) itself is corrupted ***
35: 31 That which We have revealed to thee of the Book is the Truth confirming what was (revealed) before it: for Allah is assuredly with respect to his servants well acquainted and fully-Observant.
39: 1 The revelation of this Book is from Allah the Exalted in Power Full of Wisdom. 2 Verily it is We Who have revealed the Book to thee in Truth: so serve Allah offering Him sincere devotion.
*** If the Quran is CONFIRMATION of all Previous Revelations, then these Revelations could not have been corrupted prior to or in the days of Muhammad otherwise this verse - like many others like it - would make no sense and would render it blasphemous.
It was the later followers of Muhammad who having been unable to explain away the discrepencies between the Quran and the Bible, resorted to the age old formula of balming the victim for their criminal intent ***
40: 53 We did aforetime give Moses the (Book of) Guidance and We gave the Book in inheritance to the Children of Israel 54 A Guide and a Message to men of understanding.
40: 70 Those who reject the Book and the (revelations) with which We sent Our apostles: But soon shall they know
*** The reference is again about the Torah since Muhammad could not have been among the previous apostles ***
41: 1 Ha Mim.2 A revelation from (Allah) Most Gracious Most Merciful 3 A Book whereof the verses are explained in detail a Qur'an in Arabic for people who understand
*** The assertion that the Quran was a 'Book' while Muhammad was alive is not true since it was only compiled years AFTER he was dead.
There was no Book of the Quran while Muhammad was alive since more and more alleged revelations were decending upon him. For twenty three years these 'revelations' were coming to him whenever he needed them.
The Ahadith themselves assert in no uncertain terms, that the Quranic verses were either memorized by different men, at different times and locations with different renditions as well as being written on bones, bark, chalk, leather or whatever can be written upon at any one time.
All these diverse and unrelated items were later collected, collated and edited by
Zaid bin Thabit into the Uthmanic codex supplanting and eradicating all others extant at the time ***
41: 171 O People of the Book! commit no excesses in your religion: nor say of Allah aught but truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an Apostle of Allah and His Word which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His Apostles. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is One Allah: glory be to him: (for Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.
46: 12 And before this was the Book of Moses as a guide and a mercy; and this Book confirms (it) in the Arabic tongue; to admonish the unjust and as Glad Tidings to those who do right.
*** Since Allah also 'revealed' the Quran to Muhammad which is supposed to represent the 'TRUTH', then the reader and thinker has a very serious intellectual, theological and moral problem to deal with:
How could Allah, the omniscient, 'reveal' TWO or more, different and conflicting versions of the same events?
How could Allah, in the Quran, REPEATEDLY CHANGE his mind and alter his instructions to fit different situations by actually ABROGATING and REPLACING numerous earlier verses by subsequent others?
If Allah is the same as the God of Israel, how then could He contradict His own Previous Revelations?
All the above anomalies are the attributes of a MORTAL and definitely NOT of a DIVINE BEING.
All these contradictions, perverted interpretations, historical dislocations, Time and Space contortions, name and title distortions and other abnormalities that permeate the Quranic stories in its verses, can only be EXPLAINED, if one comes to the very simple but logical conclusion that:
The ALLAH of the Quran is NOT the GOD of ISRAEL or of JESUS since in fact it is the name of the ARABIAN PAGAN spirit god that resided in the BLACK STONE embedded in the corner wall of the KA'BA, long before Muhammad and his alleged 'revelations'.
Almost every important verse in the Quran has something to do with or about the persona of Muhammad:
his thoughts, lust, hatred, anger, fear, emotions, megalomania or wishful thinking.
In fact, when one carefully analyses the verses of the Quran, one will not find a single new, practical, spiritual and intellectual precept, concept, thought or idea that is in any way shape or form equal to or superior to any that the Quran itself has Plagiarized, Plundered, Pirated and or Perverted from the Bible, New Testament, Zoroasterian and Pagan Arabian religions, their traditions, their fetishes and their Scriptures.
There is not a single letter in the Quran, let alone a word, a verse or a chapter that could have been inspired by any Merciful and Compassionate Divinity since the Quran actually represents Muhammad's very own
ALTER EGO
but cleverly projected into the unsuspecting mouth of ALLAH, the pagan
rock god of the Ka'ba ***
