Slaughter/Fight/ Kill/ Murder in the Quran:-

In the English language, Fight can mean to : Combat, Struggle, Resist, Strife, War, do battle.

In the Arabic language, one word QATL with its DERIVATIVES can mean all of the following:

Fight: Qital, Kifah, 'Airak, Harb, etc

Kill: Qatl, Thabh, Jazr

Murder: Qatl

Slaughter: Thabh, Jazr

Slay: Qatl

KILL, MURDER, FIGHT, COMBAT, SLAY, PUT TO DEATH, SLAUGHTER, ETC.  Invariably, the interpreters of the Quran use the more 'sanitised' terms to convey a more moderate connotation. This word Qital, Qatl, Qatala, Yaqtulu, Youqatilou,  is usually used against all those who do not believe in Muhammad and his Quran.

This word and its derivatives are repeated in the Quran and Ahadith at least 35,213 times.

So much for Muhammad's version of 'Peaceful Islam'.

Muhammad 'received' the first among many verses allowing and sanctioning him to fight against all non believers (those who do not believe in Allah & his apostle, almost 87% of humanity) in the following:-

9: 5        But when the forbidden months are past then fight and slay [f'aqtulou] the pagans wherever ye find them and seize them beleaguer them and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful.

2: 191         And slay them [wa qtulouhum] wherever ye catch them and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter [al qatl]; but fight them not [taqtulouhum] at the Sacred Mosque unless they (first) fight you [youqtilukum] there; but if they fight you [qatalukum] slay them [fa'qtulouhum] Such is the reward of those who suppress faith. "

5: 28        "If thou dost stretch thy hand against me to slay me [litaqtulani] it is not for me to stretch my hand against thee to slay thee [liaqtulaka]: for I do fear Allah the Cherisher of the worlds.
29        "For me I intend to let thee draw on thyself my sin as well as thine for thou wilt be among the companions of the fire and that is the reward of those who do wrong."
30        The (selfish) soul of the other led him to the murder [qatla] of his brother: he murdered him [qatalahu] and became (himself) one of the lost ones.
31        Then Allah sent a raven who scratched the ground to show him how to hide the shame of his brother.  "Woe is me!" said he: "Was I not even able to be as this raven and to hide the shame of my brother?" Then he became full of regrets.
32        On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone slew [qatala] a person unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land it would be as if he slew [qatala] the whole people: and if anyone saved a life it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear Signs yet even after that many of them continued to commit excesses in the land
33        The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Apostle and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution [youqattalou] or crucifixion [youslabou] of the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter.

*** 'Islam' the 'religion of peace' uses the word 'fight' and its derivatives FIFTEEN times in only  these three verses, as an example of THOUSANDS more in both the Quran and Hadiths.

This declaration of war against all and sundry, continues unabated up to the present moment, 1400 years later, in the 21st Century ***
